There's something wonderfully embarrassing about being completely in love. You can be a reasonably intelligent, rational person, and suddenly find yourself saying things that would sound ridiculous coming from anyone else. I kept piling up descriptions of love until they became increasingly absurd. Because sometimes the only sensible response to loving someone that much is to admit how utterly idiotic it is.
